New: Spend one night in Cabane de Louvie and use bus and cable car for free!!

The best known routes are from Verbier and Fionnay.

Departure from Verbier:

At the top of the resort you will find the alpine pasture of La Chaux which is accessible by cable car. Several paths crisscross the plateau, you should follow the small yellow sings to “Cabane de Louvie" You will then take the famous 'Sentier des Chamois' for a 4h00  walk along the mountain side, in front of Combins. When you arrived at Col Termin, look down: you can already see the fish! From this point it is a descent, so bring your walking sticks, your knees will thank you for it.

Departure From Fionnay:

Fionnay is located at the bottom of the Val de Bagnes, 20 minutes drive from Châble. The departure of the trail for Louvie is in front of the parking lot when you arrive at Fionnay, on the left. It takes about 2 hours to walk, ascending up another 800 meters, to reach one of the deck chairs at the cabin. One day may be enough to make the trip Verbier - Louvie - Fionnay or the opposite.

The postal bus (timetables here) is a good way to get back to Fionnay.
